    Tasting of three desserts created especially for this event by Johnny Chung, pastry chef at Toqué. This friendly tasting will take place around the Toqué bar. Very limited seating. A wine or cocktail pairing will be offered.

    Normand Laprise has been the chef-owner of Restaurant Toqué for more than 32 years. He is regularly invited to cook internationally, where he happily showcases Quebec’s gastronomy. His work has been recognized by both the Ordre du Québec and the Order of Canada. He also served as the only Canadian ambassador on the prestigious Paul Bocuse Institute Advisor Board. In 2025, he received the Icon Award from North America’s 50 Best Restaurants, an honor granted to an individual for their lifetime achievements and contribution to a better future in the culinary world.

    A graduate of the Pastry program at Lester B. Pearson School, Johnny began his career at Toqué in 2015 as a pastry commis. After several years at Toqué and other kitchens to broaden his experience, he became head of the department in 2019. His dessert philosophy aligns fully with Toqué’s DNA: creativity guided by seasonality and the celebration of Quebec’s terroir. Johnny prioritizes purity of flavor, technical precision, and a continuous exploration of exceptional local ingredients.

    During March Break, children 17 and under can enjoy a 3-course menu at a reduced price: $38 for lunch and $64 for dinner, as well as a 40% discount on the tasting menu for the more adventurous diners (evening only).

    A four-hands menu prepared by chefs François-Emmanuel Nicol of La Tanière3 in Quebec City and Normand Laprise. This eight-course menu will showcase the finest Quebec products. A cocktail and wine pairing will also be offered.
