Riad Nasr
Riad Nasr was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. He met his longtime culinary partner Lee Hanson in the early 1990s, when both were working as sous chefs in New York City. Nasr and Hanson joined Balthazar in SoHo in 1997 under restaurateur Keith McNally. The duo went on to lead several brasserie style restaurants in New York, including Minetta Tavern. In 2018, Nasr and Hanson opened their first independent restaurant, Frenchette. They later revived the historic French bistro Le Veau d’Or, established in 1937. They also opened Le Rock at 45 Rockefeller Plaza.
