    Ferreira celebrates 30 years of history with an immersive evening alongside the Soares family from Malhadinha Nova. The evening will begin with a cocktail, followed by a four-course food and wine pairing. Passionate winemakers and hoteliers, the Soares family will share their exceptional wines and inspiring stories, offering a unique sensory experience at the heart of the Alentejo and the soul of Portugal, enhanced by a menu created by João Dias.

    6:00PM — Guests are welcomed into Ferreira’s private dining room for an opening cocktail with wine and hors d’oeuvres. Images of the estate will be projected, and Rita and João Soares will give a presentation in French to introduce the history, vision and philosophy of Malhadinha.
    7:00PM — Guests move to the dining room. A four-course menu inspired by the Alentejo and crafted by Portuguese chef João Dias will be served, paired with the wines of Malhadinha Nova. Each cuvée will be presented live by the winemakers themselves for a fully immersive sensory experience.

    A chef known for his discipline and as an ambassador of Portuguese gastronomy, João Dias led the kitchens of Ferreira from 2012 to 2020, helping to elevate Portuguese cuisine in Montréal and beyond. Now working as a consulting chef between London and Portugal, he continues to support Natalia Machado and the Ferreira team. He will return for an exceptional event in collaboration with the Soares family from Malhadinha.

    Renowned for her rigor and creativity, chef Natalia Machado has built her career between New York, Montréal, and her native Argentina. After several years leading acclaimed kitchens in New York, she moved to Montréal in 2012. Since 2022, she has been heading the kitchen at Ferreira, where she highlights Portuguese gastronomy with a contemporary and refined approach.
