In the wake of Jean Paul Riopelle's centenary, like a meditative climax, this short video was created by Stéphanie Jasmin as an intimate breakthrough on the act of looking: that of the artist facing their works and that of the visitor who admires them in the exhibition room or elsewhere. In this silent relationship between the self and the work, these characters, seen from behind, guide us through the path and movement of their gaze, leading us to the heart of the pictorial space.
This spectacular projection, accompanied by original music by Philippe Brault, will illuminate a wall in Old Montreal, inviting us to slow down and immerse our gaze in the painter's work.
