L'École de joaillerie de Montréal will organize an exhibition centered around the theme POP! This exhibition will highlight works exploring the theme from all angles: pop culture, pop art, colors, and shapes. Both classic jewelry and contemporary pieces will be showcased together. The jewelry pieces will be created by students, teachers, and professional artists. Leather goods will also be featured in the exhibition, adding an original and warm dimension to the event.

By opening our doors to the public, we will also give visitors the opportunity to discover our workshops, where they will witness every step of bracelet production: from shaping and assembly to soldering and polishing. We will also offer demonstrations of ingot casting and lapidary art. In addition, a room will be dedicated to Centre des métiers du cuir de Montréal, which will present technical demonstrations specific to their craft: leather cutting and gluing, hand stitching with two needles, edge finishing, and polishing, as well as personalization using Kwikprint. Visitors will be able to explore our school at their own pace, interacting with our passionate guides (self-guided tour).

This activity aims to familiarize the public with the manual techniques of jewelry-making while exposing them to a wide range of contemporary jewelry practices. This year, we will also offer visitors the chance to discover another craft by partnering with the Centre des métiers du cuir de Montreal!

We will give the public the opportunity to place voluntary custom orders for rings, which will be made on-site by our students specializing in crafts, with a focus on jewelry, during the Nuit blanche evening to fund the exhibition of our graduates.
