On the occasion of Nuit blanche in Montreal, Pointe-à-Callière presents a festive evening structured around two program pillars, combining historical discoveries with moments of pure entertainment.
Exhibition component – Playing and stepping back in time
Pointe-à-Callière invites the public to an evening celebrating the history of Montreal. From 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., discover two playful and immersive exhibitions for a one-of-a-kind evening.
Play in Montreal’s alleyways
The temporary exhibition From Alley to Alley: An Interactive Adventure brings to life the atmosphere and cultural richness of Montreal’s alleyways through a series of cooperative and interactive games activated by movement. Test your reflexes, play as a team, and uncover the secrets of the alleyways. Nostalgia and fun guaranteed!
Step back in time in the city’s remains
Explore the archaeological remains of Pointe-à-Callière at night! A unique experience that immerses you in the city’s past, from Indigenous occupation to the development of the urban Old Montreal we know today. This exhibition invites visitors to discover the lives of past inhabitants and to walk in their footsteps. Take a moment to strike up a short conversation with Joe Beef.
Performance component – Improvisation and conviviality
In a completely different vein, enjoy improv battles in the Museum’s main hall. Every hour, from 7 p.m. to midnight, 20-minute bouts will come to life before your eyes, as comedians create scenes both funny and unpredictable.
For a warm and tasty break, outdoor fireplaces will be lit, and a doughnut truck will be on site.
Blending historical discoveries, humour, and conviviality, Pointe-à-Callière promises a truly joyful evening—an exceptional opportunity to explore the history and heritage of Montreal over the course of a single night.
