For the fourth consecutive year, Cinéma du Parc is giving carte blanche to Les Nuits de la 4e dimension. If you think you've seen it all when it comes to audiovisual oddities, think again! The best of the worst is yet to come! Two spooky programs have been spotted in the forbidden vault of the American Genre Film Archive. Now it's up to you to discover what they contain...
The first, HEY FOLK! IT’S THE INTERMISSION TIME MIXTAPE, takes us back to the golden age of neighborhood movie theaters. Entirely dedicated to the commercials that once preceded feature films, this dynamic montage is full of local curiosities and unusual finds. Watching it may send you rushing to the concession stand!
THE LOST & FOUND VIDEO NIGHT MIXTAPE, meanwhile, has long been the subject of legend. Produced in the 2000s, this hallucinatory anthology of television clips was once traded under the table at conventions. A veritable tsunami of community programming, heartbreaking music videos, and dubious telethons, it offers an unusual journey through different eras of American television. This celebration of corny amateurism also stands as the worthy predecessor to EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE and TOTAL CRAP. On this Nuit Blanche, you have a date with the eccentric at the Cinéma du Parc!
