Montreal's new women's soccer team, Les Roses, is riding high with the arrival of its star players. Montréal en Lumière is proud to welcome one of them, Gabrielle Lambert, who will be sharing some sports nutrition secrets with Alexandra Diaz. This will be a unique opportunity to meet her before the start of the season.
Gabrielle Lambert
Originally from Saint-Hyacinthe, Gabrielle Lambert started playing soccer at the age of 4. Coming from a sports-oriented family, she explored various sports before specializing as a goalkeeper. After playing for the Patriotes de l'UQTR, she signed with ASPTT Albi in France, then returned to Quebec in 2018, where she excelled at the university level.
She continued her career in France with Saint-Étienne and Montpellier HSC, before playing for SC Freiburg in Germany. In 2023, she returned to Quebec for one last season with the Patriotes. Gabrielle obtained her first professional contract thanks to Helder Duarte, and is also involved as a goalkeeping coach.
At 30, she joined the Montreal Roses to contribute to the development of professional women's soccer in Canada and play in front of her family, a precious opportunity for Gabrielle.
A cultural journalist with Radio-Canada and TVA television news for 17 years, Alexandra is also a keen runner and Pilates instructor. Serving as the Montréal en Lumière spokesperson is a role perfectly suited to her boundless energy!
