Enter the creative bubble of a perfumer by putting your nose to work! This is your chance to have a say in a collaborative perfume experience which will result in the creation of the POP perfume. As a budding perfumer’s apprentice you will get to choose an ingredient (from a set selection) and its proportion inside the formula that will be added to the evolving fragrance. Before making your choice you will be able to smell the latest trial and decide what should happen next. On-site perfumer, Isabelle Michaud, will be there to consign the change to the formula and will compound the new perfume trial in front of you so you can smell the latest version impacted by your contribution.
In the days following the event, the finale version of the POP perfume will be produced and all participants will be able to come back to the studio and get their free sample.
As a true experiment, no one knows what will result from this group effort. So many questions come to mind: What type of notes will have won favour? Will the perfume be balanced, nuanced, top heavy or base heavy, be floral or woodsy, but most importantly will it be wearable? The reveal will undoubtedly be interesting.
This exercise in perfume creation will shed light into the complexity of balancing multiple ingredients in different proportions and the infinite possibilities that come as a result.
