As part of the 22nd edition of Nuit blanche, the SBC Gallery of Contemporary Art invites you to participate in the workshop Affective Cartographies, led by artist Poline Harbali. This workshop invites participants to explore a diversity of materials and techniques, such as embroidery, drawing, and punch needle, through collective creation. The goal is to experiment with cartography as a tool to explore our relationship with territories shaped by memory, the senses, stories, and emotions.

The workshop is conceived in echo to the exhibition Affections Diasporiques, which explores affective experiences within diasporas, highlighting the shifting constellations that transform identities and cultures. By questioning dominant narratives, artists Laïla Mestari, Francisco-Fernando Granados, Hamza Abouelouafaa, Gem Chang-Kue, and Poline Harbali explore how diasporic experiences influence their practice, reflecting their sensitive and plural potential.

The exhibition Diasporic Affections will be open to the public during the workshop and will remain accessible until midnight, offering you the opportunity to fully experience the themes explored.

To participate in the workshop, please reserve your place by emailing [email protected] .
