Teresa Araujo
Teresa Araújo was born on May 15, 1994, in a small town near the northwest of Porto. Although she spent most of her life between her hometown of Fafe and Porto, this young winemaker has traveled the country and the world, with vintages spanning from Douro to Alentejo and from France to New Zealand.
Teresa’s academic journey began in the field of biochemistry, earning a degree from the University of Porto in 2016. However, by the end of her biochemistry degree and her undergraduate internship at a Port wine company, she discovered the unforgettable and exciting world of wine, particularly Port wines. The logical next step was to move to Lisbon and pursue her passion for wine by enrolling in a Master's program in Viticulture and Oenology Engineering at the University of Lisbon.
Constantly proactive and eager for new experiences, Teresa is always seeking new life adventures and professional challenges. After traveling the world, working, and producing wine in various wine regions, Teresa decided to cross over to the other side of the industry. She became a fine wine developer and regional manager for wines produced by Sogrape.
