Standing at the crossroads of rich produce regions, metropolitan Lyon now numbers 4,000 restaurants, with 21 starred chefs including Paul Bocuse. Nicknamed “the French capital of gastronomy”, the city ranks as an essential European gourmet destination.
Launched by the city of Lyon in 2007, the Délice network connects 22 gourmet cities, spread over 4 continents, who identify as major gastronomy destinations due to their cultural heritage or the extraordinary quality of their cuisine. They collaborate together via Délice to share their good practices. As Montreal is a member of Délice, it was the perfect opportunity for the MONTREAL EN LUMIÈRE festival to honor the cities of this great gourmet network on the occasion of the 375th anniversary of the city of Montreal.
The Festival’s Finest Tables welcome public figures from all walks of life in a series of one-of-a-kind activities in the true MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE spirit, breaking down barriers between disciplines while promoting the talents Montreal has to offer.
